How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the cake. Clean water gives you pure, bright colours - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic fibres that leave no fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like deep red or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, allowing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Why does the paint sometimes have small cracks in it?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
