How do you apply Fine Glitter?
Fine Glitter looks best when you press it into face paint or stage makeup that is still slightly wet. Pick up a brush or use your finger, dip it into the jar of glitter and press the glitter onto the area where you want a sprinkle effect. Because the makeup underneath is still wet, the glitter bonds well and stays in place.
For accents on a dry, smooth base you can use a skin-safe fixing gel as an adhesive layer, such as the Glitterless Gel from the Superstar Glitter Gel category, PXP Fix Gel or Ben Nye Glitter Glue. For deeper colour or more glitter coverage, build up thin layers rather than applying one thick coat.
Fine Glitter for glitter tattoos
Because of its fine particle size, Fine Glitter is also suitable for creating glitter tattoos. Use a glitter tattoo glue or Pros-Aide as your adhesive. Place a stencil on the skin, apply the glue and wait until it becomes completely transparent. That transparency is the key sign that the glue is ready. Then apply the glitter to the glue and carefully remove the stencil to keep clean, sharp edges.
Fine or chunky glitter?
Fine Glitter and Chunky Glitter both give a glitter effect, but the particle size makes all the difference.
Fine Glitter is very small and creates an even, uniform effect on the skin. It's ideal for accents, fine details, glitter tattoos and a subtle shimmer over your makeup. Chunky Glitter contains a mix of various glitter sizes and is made for statement looks, festival face painting and children's face painting where the glitter is meant to stand out. Removing glitter
To prevent glitter particles from entering the environment, remove the glitter first with a cotton pad and a skin-safe oil. Then carefully lift any remaining glitter from the skin using painter's tape or masking tape. Dispose of the used tape and glitter residue in general household waste, not down the drain.
Storage
Close the jars properly after use so the glitter stays dry. Store the six-pack in a cool, dry place and keep the jars out of direct sunlight.
