Diamond FX Splitcake Urban (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Urban (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with three colours in one compact: black, grey and white. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other straight away. With this 30g you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly on the splitcake. Move the brush back and forth across the colours to pick up the gradient. Keep your water clean by using a water container and refreshing it regularly.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For fine detail work, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For covering large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace stops colours muddying or turning dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense shades like black.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and causes pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.
For a quicker, cleaner removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that lifts the paint in one swipe, ideal at events and children's parties where you're working through a long queue

Frequently asked questions
Why does my face paint sometimes have small cracks in it?
Large temperature swings during storage or transport cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or longevity.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
A 30g cake gives you roughly 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte, water-activated face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
