Diamond FX Splitcake Twisted Pastels (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Twisted Pastels (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint designed for One Stroke face painting. The splitcake combines Essential Purple, Essential Pink, Essential Sea Green and Essential White in a single cake. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 30 grams you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential collection is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the cake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Glide your brush across all four colours in one smooth stroke to pick up the full gradient at once. Use a water pot and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clean and bright.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't leave fluff behind. For detail work and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For covering large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops the pastel shades from turning murky.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier coat makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense pigments.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Massage the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner, faster removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes paint off in one wipe, ideal at events and children's parties
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Twisted Pastels for
- Children's face painting at parties and events - pastel shades for butterflies, flowers, unicorns and princesses in a single stroke
- Fancy dress and carnival - soft colour gradients that work beautifully with bright costumes
- Cosplay and fantasy looks - fairies, water lilies, mermaids and other pastel-based characters
- Body painting and face art - smooth colour transitions without manual blending
- Face painting events and children's workshops - quick results thanks to the One Stroke technique, even for less experienced painters

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential collection is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
A 30 gram cake paints approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vibrant.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
