Diamond FX Splitcake Day Break (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Day Break (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with five metallic shades in one cake: Metallic White, Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, Metallic Pink and Metallic Baby Blue. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours immediately bleeding into each other. With this 30gr cake you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Metallic range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Metallic colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the cake. Move your brush back and forth across the colours to pick them up in one stroke. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water tub and rinse between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic hairs that don't leave fibres behind. For detail work and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A tub of clean water next to your workspace stops metallic shades from mixing or turning dull.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense metallic shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and faster removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed to remove Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp wipe that takes the paint off in one sweep, ideal at events and parties where you're painting many children in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the cake. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contain no animal ingredients. The Metallic range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours beforehand on sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30gr?
A 30gr cake gives you approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that's one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
