Diamond FX Splitcake Green Carpet 30gr - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Green Carpet 30gr is a professional wax-based face paint with five green and yellow shades in one compact. The high pigmentation and strong coverage let you paint lizard and reptile patterns in a single brush stroke. The wax base means you can build up layers without colours bleeding into each other. With 30 grams you can face paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all other Diamond FX Essentials colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the splitcake with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the colours. Move your brush slowly across all five shades for a smooth colour blend. Work alongside a water container and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clean and clear.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For scales and sharp details, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large background areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-based face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning muddy.
- Barrier layer for intense green shades. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This protective layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from dark green and black pigments.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently massage the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that wipes face paint away in one go, ideal at events and children's parties

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. These usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always patch-test on sensitive skin 24 hours beforehand.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
With a 30 gram compact you can paint around 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strong points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
