Diamond FX Splitcake Flabbergasted (30gr) - face paint on wax-basis
The Diamond FX Splitcake Flabbergasted (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six colours in one cake: red, orange, yellow, light green, blue and purple. The wax formula lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With this 30g cake you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the cake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Sweep your brush once from left to right across the cake to pick up all six colours at once. Clean water keeps your colours bright - use a water pot and refresh the water regularly.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with flexible synthetic bristles that don't shed. For detail work and lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense colours like the blue and purple in this cake.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner and faster removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that lifts paint in one wipe, ideal at parties where you're painting lots of children one after another

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the cake. Quality and shelf life are not affected.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from fragrance, parabens, lanolin and animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours beforehand for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
A 30g cake gives you roughly 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on monitor settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
