Diamond FX Splitcake Night Fall (30gr) - face paint on wax basis
The Diamond FX Splitcake Night Fall (30gr) is a professional face paint on a wax basis that combines four metallic colours in one splitcake: Metallic Baby Blue, Metallic Green, Metallic Purple and Metallic Old Gold. The wax formula lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. One 30gr splitcake covers 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Metallic is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Metallic range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Metallic colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly using a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the colours. Move your brush back and forth across the splitcake to pick up several metallic shades at once. Clean water gives you clear, vibrant colours - keep a water container nearby and refresh it regularly.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. FBFX face painting brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with smooth synthetic hairs that won't leave fluff behind. For fine lines and detail work, reach for the FBFX Round Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For broad areas with a smooth colour blend, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. Metallic colours are particularly sensitive to contamination - replace your water more often to keep the shimmer bright.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This makes removal easier and prevents staining with darker metallic shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Rub the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a quicker, cleaner removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - developed specifically for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that wipes paint off in one go, ideal at events and children's parties where you're painting face after face

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Metallic is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Metallic range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always patch-test on sensitive skin 24 hours beforehand.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
A 30gr splitcake covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bold.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strong points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
