How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the cake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Always work with a water pot and change the water between colours to keep them clean and vivid.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that won't leave fluff. For detail work like leaves or bark, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A clean water pot prevents the dark green and light green from mixing and turning muddy.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This protective layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense colours like dark green or dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and drives pigment deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear as soon as you start using the cake. There is no effect on quality or longevity.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
