The Diamond FX Splitcake Lobster Luau 30g is a professional wax-based face paint with four warm colours in one pot: white, red, orange and yellow. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With this 30g pot you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the pot. With a splitcake, sweep your brush back and forth across all colours at once to pick up the full white-to-red-orange-yellow gradient in a single stroke. Use a water bowl and refresh the water between designs to keep colours clean and bright.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and flame tips, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water bowl with fresh water next to your workspace prevents the warm tones of Lobster Luau from turning muddy or dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and helps prevent staining from bright red and orange pigments.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
