Diamond FX Splitcake Intense Rainbow (28gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Intense Rainbow (28gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with four vivid colours in one block: Bright Green, Bright Blue, Bright Yellow and Bright Pink. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. One stroke across the splitcake loads all four colours onto your brush at once. With 28 grams you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the splitcake with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or sweep a slightly damp flat brush in one smooth stroke across all four colours. That way you load the entire rainbow in one go. Use a water container and refresh the water regularly to keep colours bright.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fibres behind. For fine details and line work, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large background areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning muddy.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or vivid colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining with vivid shades like blue and green.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes the face paint off in one wipe, perfect at events and children's parties where you paint many faces in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear when you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contain no animal ingredients. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. For sensitive skin, always do a patch test 24 hours in advance.
How many faces can you paint with 28 grams?
With a splitcake of 28 grams you can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
