Diamond FX Splitcake Eastern Sunrise (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Eastern Sunrise (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with five colours in one block: Essential Sea Green, Essential White, Essential Pink, Essential Bordeaux Red and Essential Purple. The wax formula lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With this 30g block you can face paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the block lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the colours. Drag your brush or sponge back and forth across the block to pick up several shades at once - this gives you smooth colour transitions in a single stroke. Keep a water container nearby and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clean and vivid.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't shed. For detail work and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or going dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like Sea Green or Bordeaux Red.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and drives pigment deeper into the skin - best avoided. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner, faster removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that wipes off the paint in one go, ideal at events and children's parties
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Eastern Sunrise for

- Carnival and themed events - tropical and summery looks combining warm and cool shades
- Body painting and face painting - large colour areas with soft transitions for fantasy characters and floral patterns

Frequently asked questions
Why does my face paint sometimes have small cracks in it?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They typically disappear once you start using it. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
With a 30g block you can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte, water-activated face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
