How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the cake using a spray bottle, or load a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly. Clean water gives you pure, bright colours - always work with a water container and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with smooth synthetic fibres that don't shed. For detail work and sharp lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water container with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand as a barrier. This makes removal easier and prevents staining with the dark and red tones in this splitcake.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Why does the face paint sometimes have small cracks?

Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
