Diamond FX Splitcake Hibiscus (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Hibiscus (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint designed for the One Stroke technique. With five colours - white, pink, red, bordeaux red and black - you can paint a hibiscus flower in a single brush stroke. The wax base keeps the colours from bleeding into each other, giving you crisp colour transitions. This 30g cake is enough for 10 to 15 full face designs.
Diamond FX Splitcake is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of both children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle or use a slightly damp flat brush. Move the brush across all the colours in one sweep for the One Stroke technique. Keep a water pot beside you and refresh the water regularly to keep colours vibrant and true.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fibres behind. For fine petal details use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For backgrounds and large areas work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your work area prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin as a barrier first. This makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense reds and bordeaux shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, allowing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the cake. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcake is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance if you have sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
A 30g cake gives you approximately 10 to 15 full face designs, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in normal light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
