Diamond FX Splitcake Cuddly (28gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Cuddly (28gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six skin tones specially put together for painting animals and character looks. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 28 grams you can paint around 10 to 15 full faces, depending on how thickly you apply it.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the splitcake with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Sweep your brush across the splitcake in one stroke to pick up several skin tones at once. Clean water keeps your colours pure and bright - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your station prevents colours from muddying or turning dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - best avoided. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner and faster finish without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes off the paint in one swipe, ideal at children's parties when you're painting lots of faces one after another

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours beforehand if skin is sensitive.
How many faces can you paint with 28 grams?
With this splitcake you can paint around 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vibrant.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
