The Diamond FX Splitcake Real Rainbow (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six colours in one cake for rainbow designs using the One Stroke technique. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours immediately bleeding into each other. With this 30g cake you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential colours in this cake are formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the cake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. For the best colour gradients, move a flat brush slowly from left to right across all six colours at once. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh it regularly.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for face paint with flexible synthetic fibres that leave no fluff. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents rainbow colours from turning muddy or dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from bright blues and greens.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, resulting in surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or longevity.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

The Essential colours in this cake are gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contain no animal-derived ingredients. They are formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte, base-level face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers cleanly without the underlying colour showing through.
