Diamond FX Splitcake Bright Rainbow (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Bright Rainbow (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six vivid rainbow colours in a single splitcake. The wax formula lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 30 grams you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcake is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The splitcake range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Please note: this splitcake contains Neon Magenta, a special-effects pigment that glows under UV/blacklight and has been independently skin-safety tested. Browse all our Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Stroke the brush broadly across the splitcake to pick up all six colours at once. Clean water keeps your colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh it regularly.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and sharp lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops colours mixing or turning dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like the neon magenta in this splitcake.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and drives pigment deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker finish without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that lifts face paint in one sweep, ideal at events and children's parties where you paint many faces in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own during use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcake is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The splitcake range is formulated with EU and FDA compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. The Neon Magenta in this splitcake is special-effects pigmentation that has been independently skin-safety tested. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
With a 30 gram splitcake you can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation ensure the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
