How to use the Ben Nye FX Creme Stack, Age
Apply the colours with a sponge, spatula or brush depending on the effect you want.
- Direct application: work Vein or Gray Purple with a fine brush along vein lines and wrinkle areas for subtle depth.
- Stipple technique: use Capillaire Stippel and Freckle Stippel with a small foam sponge or stipple brush for realistic skin texture.
- Layered build-up: start light and add depth layer by layer. Thin with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol for a sheer, under-the-skin effect with Liver Spot or Gray Purple.
Pro tip: Apply Gray Purple as a broad, diffuse undertone across the temples and cheeks before adding Vein and Capillaire Stippel at specific points. This creates a cohesive, layered age structure that holds up under close-up camera work.
Setting and removal
Always set creme makeup with a setting powder. Pat Ben Nye Neutral Set Powder over the applied colours using a powder puff or large brush. For a longer-lasting finish, follow with a light spray of Ben Nye Final Seal.
Remove the creme colours with Ben Nye Quick Cleanse or Mehron Blank Canvas Remover, followed by warm water and a gentle cleanser.
