Ben Nye Vampire Wheel (compact)
The Ben Nye Vampire Wheel (compact) is a cream makeup palette by Ben Nye with four colours of creme makeup, specifically designed for vampire looks and dark character makeup. The set combines a pale base, deep shadow tones and a dark crimson - everything you need for a convincing vampire.
- 4 cream makeup colours, highly pigmented
- Colours: White, Black, Steel Gray, Maroon
- Works on skin, latex, gelatine, wax, silicone and prosthetics
- Compact size: 14g (0.5 oz)
- Code: WK-21
What vampire and dark character looks can you create?
This wheel gives you four targeted shades to build a classic vampire look. White creates the corpse-pale base, Steel Gray adds depth around the eyes and temples, Black sharpens shadows and defines lips or brows, and Maroon brings in blood-red accents at the lips or around wounds.
The colours also work for other dark characters - gravediggers, gothic ghost looks, or pale SFX characters where a cold, lifeless skin tone is the goal.
When should you choose this wheel over separate cream colours?
Choose this wheel if you're working on a vampire or pale character look and don't want to buy white, grey, black and burgundy separately. The four shades are balanced to work together, so you can get started without hunting down matching combinations.
The compact size fits easily in any kit and travels well to Halloween events, scare mazes or shoots. At 14g, you'll get around 50 to 300 applications depending on how heavily you apply.
How to use
Pick up a small amount of cream with a Mehron Latex Foam Sponge for soft, stippled transitions - ideal for building the pale base with White. For sharp eye shadows or defined lines, use a fine brush. Blending with warm fingers works well for larger areas too.
Pro tip: Start with a thin layer of White across the whole face as the base tone. Build Steel Gray into the temples, eye sockets and below the cheekbones for a sunken, lifeless look. Finish with Black for deep shadows and Maroon on the lips and corners of the mouth.
Setting and removing
Cream makeup always needs a setting step. After application, press setting powder over the look with a powder puff and dust off any excess with a brush. This keeps everything in place through a long night.
To remove, use an oil or cream-based makeup remover, or Ben Nye Quick Cleanse. Cream makeup won't come off with water alone - you need an oil or cream remover for a thorough cleanse.
What can you use it for?
- Vampire and undead looks for Halloween
- Gothic and dark character makeup
- Pale SFX looks and corpse-toned characters
- Halloween events and scare mazes
- Theatre and film productions with dark characters
- Cosplay (Dracula, Nosferatu, gothic fantasy)
