What highlight looks and corrections can you create?
The four shades let you apply targeted highlights on the nose bridge, cheekbones, forehead and chin. This adds depth and dimension to a look, or corrects darker zones in contour work. Shades range from near-white (Ultra Lite) to a warmer light skin tone (Deep), so you can match a range of complexions.
This wheel is also useful for theatre makeup and SFX when you need highlights over latex or prosthetics. The crème formula adheres well to all these surfaces.
When should you choose this wheel over individual crème highlights?
Four balanced shades in one compact palette means you have a complete highlight set at hand straight away. That saves time, especially when you're working through multiple faces in a short session. Choose this wheel if you regularly do contour and modelling work across different skin tones.
The compact size (14g) fits easily in a makeup kit and gives an estimated 50 to 300 applications, depending on how heavily you apply.
How to use it
Apply the crème with a damp Mehron Latex Foam Sponge for soft, stippled transitions, or use your fingers for warm blending. For sharp lines and fine detail, work with a fine brush. For a more sheer finish, you can blend a small amount with 99% alcohol for a thin, fast-drying layer.
Pro tip: Start with Ultra Lite on the highest point of the nose and cheekbones, then blend Natural Lite or Lite into the transition zone towards the base colour. This gives you a smooth, layered highlight with no hard edges.
Setting and removing
Crème makeup always needs to be set to prevent smudging. Use a translucent setting powder and press it on with a powder puff or brush. Remove with a crème remover or oil-based makeup remover - soap and water work too, but a dedicated remover breaks down the grease base more effectively.
