The Diamond FX Splitcake Sunset (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint designed for the One Stroke technique. The cake combines five colours in one block: Metallic White, Essential Yellow, Essential Orange, Essential Red and Essential Bordeaux Red. One sweep of the brush gives you a flowing sunset gradient. With 30 grams you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the splitcake with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the cake using a spray bottle, or load a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Sweep your brush broadly across all five colours at once for a smooth gradient in a single stroke. Work with a water pot and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clear.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and finishing touches, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace prevents the warm tones of the Sunset from muddying or mixing with other colours.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This protective layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from deep red and bordeaux tones.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Large temperature differences during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear during use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
