Diamond FX Splitcake Mega Melon (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Mega Melon (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six colours in a single block: bordeaux red, pink, white, mint green, light green and dark green. Using the one stroke technique, you pick up all six shades in a single brush movement - ideal for quick watermelon and tropical designs on face or body. With this 30 gram block you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the colours lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the splitcake. Move your brush from left to right across the block to pick up all six shades in one stroke. Work with a water container and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clean and bright.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't leave fluff behind. For detail work and fine lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For covering larger areas, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-based face paints.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like dark green.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, causing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - best avoided. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes the face paint off in one wipe, ideal at events and children's parties where you're painting many faces in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own during use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance if skin is sensitive.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
With a 30 gram block you can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bold.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is actually one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
