Mouldlife Transil 20, 2 kg
Mouldlife Transil 20 is a fast-curing mould-making silicone from Mouldlife, designed for creating moulds to cast prosthetics. With a working time of just three minutes and a demould time of 35 minutes, you can be ready to continue within half an hour - rather than waiting a whole day as with slow-curing mould silicones.

What is Mouldlife Transil 20?
Transil 20 is a condensation-cure (tin-cure) silicone rubber with Shore A20 hardness. You use it exclusively for making moulds - for example, to cast PlatSil Gel prosthetics. Unlike PlatSil itself, you do not use Transil directly on skin - it is the mould that gives your prosthetic its shape.
The short working time of three minutes means you need to work quickly. The upside is that you can make a mould and cast prosthetics from it in the same afternoon.

The 2 kg pack is the practical choice when you are working on larger moulds or running multiple prosthetic projects. You get more material per order, which keeps your workflow moving without constant restocking.

How to use Transil 20
- Prepare your sculpt: make sure your sculpt (clay or wax) is ready and your mould box is built.
- Apply a release layer to your sculpt and mould box using Macwax or Macsil release spray.
- Mix Part A and Part B in a 1:1 ratio (check the label for the exact mix).
- Pour within three minutes over your sculpt and allow to cure.
- Wait 35 minutes at room temperature (23°C) before demoulding.
- Carefully remove the mould - you now have a reusable mould for your prosthetics.

Important tips
- Work in a well-ventilated space. Tin-cure silicone produces mild alcohol vapour during curing.
- Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
- Avoid contact with platinum-cure systems before curing (Transil can inhibit PlatSil curing).
