Mouldlife Macsil 400 ml | Silicone Mould Release Spray
Macsil is a silicone-based mould release spray by Mouldlife in a 400 ml aerosol can, developed for releasing polyurethane, polyester, silicone and epoxy resins from silicone or resin moulds. The transparent release layer prevents cast prosthetics, props and other pieces from sticking to the mould, keeping surfaces crisp, smooth and clear.

What is Macsil?
Macsil is a sprayable silicone solution that leaves an ultra-thin, transparent coating inside your mould. Once your resin or plastic has cured, the piece releases cleanly without residue or surface dulling. Unlike Macwax, Macsil leaves no wax residue behind, so fine details and glossy surfaces stay intact.

How to use Macsil
- Shake the can well before use.
- Spray a thin, even coat onto the mould from approximately 20 cm away.
- Allow 30 to 60 seconds to dry before pouring.
- Pour your resin or plastic into the mould and allow it to cure fully.
- Carefully demould the cast piece: the silicone layer allows it to release cleanly with no visible residue.
Important tips
- Work in a well-ventilated space and keep away from naked flames.
- Always read the label and safety information before use.
- Store the can upright in a cool, dry place.
