Mouldlife Tinthix is a liquid thickener for silicone, designed to make your silicone thicker and easier to apply with a brush or spatula. A few drops prevent silicone from running off vertical surfaces. Ideal for making moulds, skin textures, prosthetics and other detailed work where you need more control during application.

What is Tinthix?
Tinthix is an additive that turns liquid silicone into a thicker, creamy consistency that stays in place more easily. This prevents silicone from running off vertical surfaces or complex shapes.
Tinthix is developed for tin-cure (condensation-cure) silicone systems such as Mouldlife Transil 20. It also works in some platinum silicones such as PlatSil Gel-10 and Gel-25, but for platinum systems PlatThix is the officially recommended option.
Why choose Tinthix 100g?
You only need a small amount to make a noticeable difference to silicone consistency. The thickened silicone holds on vertical surfaces and picks up fine detail much more reliably, which matters when you are brush-applying layers onto a sculpt or mould face.
Choose Tinthix when you are working with tin-cure silicone and need a product that is developed specifically for that chemistry. For platinum systems, use PlatThix to avoid any risk of inhibition.
How to use Tinthix
Mix Part A and Part B of your silicone thoroughly first. Then add Tinthix - no more than 5% of the total mixed silicone weight. Stir until you have an even, creamy texture, then apply with a brush or spatula to your sculpt or mould. Test on a small amount first to dial in the right quantity for your specific application.
Pro tip: Always add Tinthix after Parts A and B are fully combined, never before. Adding it too early can cause uneven distribution. Work in thin layers to capture fine surface detail accurately.
