Mouldlife Silicone Pigment Green is a highly concentrated pigment for colouring platinum silicones such as Polytek PlatSil Gel or Mouldlife Sculpt Gel. One drop is enough to deeply colour a batch of silicone, making it ideal for monsters, zombies and creature greening effects.

What are Mouldlife Silicone Pigments?

Silicone Pigments are colour pastes formulated for platinum silicone systems. You mix them into your silicone before it cures, and they distribute evenly throughout the mixture. The colour remains permanently visible once the silicone has set.

The Mouldlife range includes nine colours you can blend to achieve virtually any shade. White, Black, Red, Yellow, Blue and Green cover your primary mixing needs. Brown, Dark Flesh and Light Flesh let you work directly in skin tones without additional mixing.

How to use Silicone Pigment Green

1. Add the pigment to Part B of your platinum silicone before combining it with Part A. This preserves your full working time for even colour distribution and keeps the cure consistent.
2. Start with a single drop and build up gradually until you reach the depth of colour you want.
3. Working with a deadener for skin-like flexibility? Add the pigment to Part B and the deadener to Part A, then combine them together afterwards.
4. Use a separate spatula or mixing stick for each colour to avoid cross-contamination between pots.
5. Test your mix on a small amount first before colouring a full batch of silicone.

Important tips

• Keep your dosage around 0.5% of the total silicone weight for optimal dispersion without curing issues.
• Dose carefully: these pigments are so concentrated that a single large drop can make your mix too dark to use.
• Store the pot tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
• Shake or stir the pigment before use to re-incorporate any settled pigment.
