Mouldlife Silicone Pigment Brown is a highly concentrated pigment for colouring platinum silicones such as Polytek PlatSil Gel or Mouldlife Sculpt Gel. A single drop is enough to deeply colour a full batch of silicone, making it ideal for warm skin tones, age spots, or freckles in prosthetic work.

What are Mouldlife Silicone Pigments?

Silicone Pigments are colour pastes formulated specifically for platinum silicone systems. You mix them into your silicone before curing, so the colour disperses evenly throughout the material and stays permanently visible once the silicone has set.

The Mouldlife range includes nine colours you can blend into virtually any shade. White, Black, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green cover all primary mixing needs, while Brown, Dark Flesh, and Light Flesh let you work directly in skin tones without additional mixing.

How to use Silicone Pigment Brown

1. Add the pigment to Part B of your platinum silicone before combining with Part A. This keeps your full working time available for even colour distribution without affecting the cure.
2. Start with one drop and build up gradually until you reach the depth you need.
3. Working with a deadener for skin-like flexibility? Add the pigment to Part B and the deadener to Part A, then combine both together.
4. Use a separate spatula or mixing stick per colour to avoid cross-contamination between pots.
5. Test your mix on a small amount first before colouring a full silicone batch.

Important tips

• Keep your dosage around 0.5% of total silicone weight for optimal dispersion without curing issues.
• Dose carefully: these pigments are so concentrated that a single large drop can make your mix irreversibly dark.
• Store the pot tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
• Shake or stir the pigment before use to re-suspend any settled pigment.
