Mouldlife Silicone Pigment Blue is a highly concentrated pigment for colouring platinum silicones such as Polytek PlatSil Gel or Mouldlife Sculpt Gel. A single drop is enough to deeply colour a full batch of silicone, making it ideal for veins, bruising, or cold and lifeless skin tones.

What are Mouldlife Silicone Pigments?

Silicone Pigments are colour pastes formulated specifically for platinum silicone systems. You mix them into your silicone blend before curing. They disperse fully throughout the silicone and remain permanently visible once the material has cured.

The Mouldlife range covers nine colours you can combine into virtually any shade. White, Black, Red, Yellow, Blue and Green cover all primary mixes, while Brown, Dark Flesh and Light Flesh let you work straight into skin tones without additional blending.

How to use Silicone Pigment Blue

1. Add the pigment to Part B of your platinum silicone before combining with Part A. This preserves your full working time for even colour distribution and keeps cure time consistent.
2. Start with a single drop and build up gradually until you reach the depth you need.
3. Working with deadener for skin-like flexibility? Add the pigment to Part B and the deadener to Part A, then combine both afterwards.
4. Use a separate spatula or mixing stick for each colour to avoid cross-contamination between jars.
5. Test your mix on a small sample before colouring a full batch of silicone.

Important tips

• Keep your dosage around 0.5% of the total silicone weight for optimal dispersion without curing issues.
• Dose carefully: these pigments are so concentrated that a single oversized drop can make your mixture unusably dark.
• Store the jar tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
• Shake or stir the pigment before use to re-disperse any settled colour.
