The Diamond FX Splitcake Raindrop (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with three shades of blue in one block: Essential White, Essential Light Blue and Essential Dark Blue. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours immediately blending into each other. With 30 grams you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly onto the splitcake. Move your brush slowly from light to dark across the cake to pick up a smooth colour gradient in one stroke. Use a water pot and refresh the water between colours to keep your shades clean and vibrant.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that don't shed. For detail work and thin raindrop lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large blue background areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or deep colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from the deep blue shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour correction. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
