The Diamond FX Splitcake Mellow Rainbow (50gr) is a professional face paint on wax basis with five soft metallic rainbow colours in one compact: Metallic Mellow Lavender, Metallic Mellow Pink, Metallic Mellow Yellow, Metallic Mellow Green and Metallic Mellow Blue. The wax base delivers high pigmentation and strong coverage. You can build up layers easily without the colours bleeding into each other straight away. With this 50 gram compact you can paint 15 to 22 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours pure and bright - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic fibres that leave no fluff. For detail work and line work, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. These usually disappear once you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its real strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
