Diamond FX Splitcake Red Velvet (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Red Velvet (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with six colours in one block: Metallic Purple, Essential Pink, Essential White and Essential Red. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours immediately bleeding into each other. One stroke of the brush picks up several colours at once. With this 50 gram splitcake you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The splitcake combines colours from the Essential and Metallic ranges, both formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the block with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the splitcake. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For petals and sharp details, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like Metallic Purple.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp wipe that takes the face paint off in one go, ideal at events and children's parties where you're painting many faces in a row
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Red Velvet for

- Fancy dress and themed events - red and pink looks that you can apply quickly across a large group
- Cosplay and fantasy looks - pink-red gradients for character make-up with metallic purple accents

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on their own once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free, and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential and Metallic colours in this splitcake are formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50 gram splitcake you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - the Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is actually one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
