With the one stroke technique you pick up multiple colours in a single brush stroke - perfect for fast, festive designs at birthday parties. Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush into the cake. Clean water keeps your colours bright and clear - use a water pot and refresh it between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and fine lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or turning muddy.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense neon shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, creating surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the cake. There is no effect on quality or longevity.
