The Diamond FX Splitcake Lobster Luau (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with four colours in one compact: white, red, orange and yellow. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other straight away. With this 50 gram compact you can paint around 15 to 22 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps your colours bright and true - use a water bowl and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For flame details and thin lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas and smooth colour gradients, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water bowl with fresh water next to your workspace stops colours from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and helps prevent staining from intense pigments like red and orange.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink in deeper - best avoided. Work the soap in gently and rinse well. Repeat until all the face paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. These usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the colour underneath showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
