Diamond FX Splitcake Raving Rio (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Raving Rio (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with five neon shades in one compact: Neon Pink, Neon Orange, Neon Yellow and Neon Green. The colours glow under UV/blacklight and are vivid and opaque under regular light. With 50 grams you have enough face paint for multiple events or carnival days.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Neon range is independently skin-safety tested. Neon colours are special-effects pigments - use them for UV/blacklight effects and festivals, not for regular cosmetic use. Browse all our other Diamond FX Neon colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. With a splitcake you load your tool so the colours sit side by side, creating a smooth neon rainbow gradient in one stroke. Use a water container and refresh the water between colours to keep shades clean and vivid.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic fibres that leave no fuzz. For detail work and fine lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with fresh water next to your workspace prevents colours from mixing or looking dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin coat of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense neon shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the paint with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a quicker, cleaner removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially formulated to remove Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a moist cloth that wipes paint away in one go, ideal at events and carnival days when you're painting many people in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature fluctuations during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. These usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX Neon safe for children?
Diamond FX Neon is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. Neon is special-effects pigmentation and has been independently skin-safety tested, but is not classified as a standard FDA cosmetic - use it for UV/blacklight effects and not for everyday cosmetic use. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
A manufacturer rendement figure for 50gr specifically is not available. Based on the 30gr benchmark of 10 to 15 faces, you can expect roughly 15 to 25 full faces from 50 grams, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is a matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour adjustment. Colours may vary slightly depending on monitor settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
