Diamond FX Splitcake Delicate Fairy (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Delicate Fairy (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint for One Stroke face painting. The splitcake contains five pastel shades (Essential White, Essential Pale Green, Essential Pastel Blue, Essential Lavender and Essential Purple) that load onto your brush in a single stroke to create butterfly wings, flower petals and fairy looks. The wax base lets you build layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 50 grams you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our other Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp flat brush across the colours. Draw in one smooth stroke over the splitcake to pick up all shades at once. Clean water keeps the pastel tones bright and pure - use a water bowl and refresh the water between designs.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For fine details like flower petals or stars, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large background areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water bowl with fresh water next to your kit prevents pastel shades from turning muddy or dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or repeated face painting. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents pigment residue, even with light pastel shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.
For a cleaner and quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes off face paint in one wipe, ideal at parties where you paint many children one after another

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear on first use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50 gram splitcake you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
