The Diamond FX Splitcake Captain Obvious (50gr) is a professional one stroke face paint on wax base with four blue shades: dark blue through mid blue and light blue to white. The wax base lets you build up layers without colours bleeding into each other. With 50 grams you can paint around 15 to 22 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a little clean water. Spritz a fine mist onto the cake with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the splitcake. Clean water keeps colours bright and true - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and sharp lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops colours from mixing or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense shades like dark blue.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - best avoided. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear when you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX on top of other colours?
