The Diamond FX Splitcake Mother Africa (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with four colours in one compact: Essential White, Essential Yellow, Essential Green and Metallic Green. The wax base lets you build layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With this 50g cake you can paint 15 to 22 complete faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the cake lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours pure and bright - work with a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that don't shed. For detail work use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops colours mixing and turning dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work the soap in and rinse well. Repeat until all paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the cake?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vivid under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bright.

Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour correction. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
