The Diamond FX Splitcake Traffic Jam (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with five colours in one compact: Metallic Purple, Essential Light Blue, Metallic Blue, Metallic Yellow and Metallic Green. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. A single brush stroke picks up multiple colours at once. With 50 grams you can face paint 15 to 22 complete faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly using a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours vibrant and true - use a water pot and refresh the water regularly between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with smooth synthetic bristles that leave no fibres. For detail work and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water on your work station stops colours from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense blue and purple shades.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - best avoided. Gently massage the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all face paint is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in normal light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid in regular light as well.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?

Yes, that is actually one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour adjustments. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
