Diamond FX Splitcake Sunset (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Sunset (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint in five warm tones for sunset and tropical looks. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. With 50 grams you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free and free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential colours in this splitcake are formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Note: this splitcake contains Neon Magenta, a special-effects pigment that glows under UV/blacklight and has been independently skin-safety tested. Browse all Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the splitcake lightly using a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours vivid and true - use a water pot and refresh the water between colours.
For the best one-stroke sunset effect, sweep a flat brush along the full width of the splitcake in one motion. You pick up all five colours at once - from white through yellow and orange into magenta and bordeaux red.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Painting Brushes are designed for water-activated face paint with flexible synthetic bristles that don't leave fibres behind. For detail work use the FBFX Round Face Painting Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas use a Yellow Painting Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with clean water next to your workspace stops the warm tones from going muddy or dull.
- Protective layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin coat of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier layer makes removal easier and prevents staining from the Neon Magenta pigment.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid this. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.
For a cleaner and faster removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a pre-moistened wipe that lifts the paint in one sweep, ideal at events and parties where you're painting many children in a row
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Sunset for
- Children's face painting at parties and events - sunsets, butterflies, flowers and tropical looks in a single stroke
- One-stroke designs - roses, flames, sky scenes and colour gradients without any mixing
- Fancy dress and themed parties - tropical and summer looks, beach themes and Hawaiian-style designs
- Body painting and face art - warm colour palettes for sunsets, fire effects and fantasy looks
- UV/blacklight events and festivals - the Neon Magenta in this splitcake glows under UV/blacklight

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX Splitcake Sunset safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free and free from fragrance, parabens, lanolin and animal-derived ingredients. The Essential colours are formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients. The Neon Magenta is independently skin-safety tested as a special-effects pigment. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50-gram splitcake you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come alive under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you paint Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strongest points. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the layer underneath showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
