Diamond FX Splitcake Sky Nights (50gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Sky Nights (50gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with five complementary night sky shades in a single compact. The wax base lets you build up layers without colours bleeding into each other straight away. With 50 grams you can paint around 15 to 22 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of both children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or use a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Clean water keeps colours vivid and true - work alongside a water container and refresh it between colours.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with flexible synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detail work and line art, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water container with clean water prevents the clear blues and purples from turning muddy.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin coat of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining with intense shades like deep blue and metallic purple.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cold to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid that. Rub the soap in gently and rinse well. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner, quicker finish without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed to remove Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that takes the paint off in one wipe, ideal at events and children's parties where you are painting many faces in a row
What to use Diamond FX Splitcake Sky Nights for
- Children's parties and events - starry sky, galaxy and night-theme designs in a single stroke
- Fantasy and cosplay looks - night elves, space creatures, mermaids and other deep-blue characters
- Halloween and themed parties - witch under the moon, vampire night, gothic night sky looks
- Body painting and face art - gradient designs with depth created by the blended shades
- One stroke face painting techniques - butterflies, flowers and abstract night sky patterns in a single brush stroke

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contain no animal-derived ingredients. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 50 grams?
With a 50 gram compact you can paint approximately 15 to 22 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and bold.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour adjustment. Colours may vary slightly depending on monitor settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
