Diamond FX Splitcake Candy Swirl (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Candy Swirl (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint designed for the One Stroke technique. The splitcake combines three colours in one pot: Bordeaux Red, Light Blue and White. The wax base means the colours load evenly onto your brush without bleeding into each other straight away. This 30 gram pot is enough for 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all Diamond FX Splitcakes.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle or use a well-wrung damp brush. Sweep your brush across all three colours in one stroke to pick them up together. Keep a water pot nearby and refresh the water between colours for clean, vibrant results.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fibres behind. For fine details and lines, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large areas of colour, use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water prevents colours from mixing or looking dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense shades like bordeaux red or blue.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work in the soap and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the paint is gone.
For a cleaner, quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - developed specifically for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that wipes paint off in one go, ideal at events and birthday parties when you have lots of kids to get through

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, creating surface cracks. They usually disappear when you start using the paint. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Splitcakes are gluten-free, free from fragrance, parabens, lanolin and animal-derived ingredients. The range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance on sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30 grams?
A 30 gram pot covers approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent in regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vibrant.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
