Diamond FX Splitcake Purple Rose (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Purple Rose (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint designed for the One Stroke technique. Four colours - Essential Black Eye, Essential Purple, Essential Lavender and Essential White - sit side by side in a single compact, so one brush stroke gives you a purple rose or flower design in seconds. With this 30g cake you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Browse all our Diamond FX Essential colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the paint with a little clean water. Mist the surface lightly with a spray bottle, or dip a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly into the colours. For the One Stroke technique, draw your brush slowly across all four colours at once so they load onto the brush in a single pass. Use a water tub and refresh the water regularly to keep colours clean and bright.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are designed for face paint with flexible synthetic bristles that leave no fluff. For detailed petals and stems, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large background areas use a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A tub of fresh water next to your work space stops the purple and white colours from muddying and going dull.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from deep purple pigments.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove with a mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores, allowing pigment to sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Work the soap in gently and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all colour is gone.
For a quicker, scrub-free removal:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially developed for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that lifts paint in one wipe, ideal at parties where you paint many children in a row

- Fancy dress and carnival - elegant floral designs to complement a costume or as a standalone face design
- Fantasy and fairy-tale make-up - blossom designs, princess and fairy looks with soft lavender-to-purple transitions

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the paint?
Large temperature swings during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start painting. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX safe for children?
Yes, Diamond FX Essential is gluten-free, fragrance-, paraben- and lanolin-free and contains no animal-derived ingredients. The Essential range is formulated with EU- and FDA-compliant cosmetic ingredients and suitable for the sensitive skin of children and adults. Always do a patch test 24 hours in advance for sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30g?
With a 30g cake you can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers without the layer underneath showing through. Product photos are taken under professional daylight lamps without colour grading. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
