Diamond FX Splitcake Neon Rainbow (30gr) - wax-based face paint
The Diamond FX Splitcake Neon Rainbow (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint with four neon one-stroke colours in a single cake: Neon Magenta, Neon Yellow, Neon Blue and Neon Green. The wax base lets you build up layers without the colours bleeding into each other. One 30gr cake is enough for around 10 to 15 full faces.
Diamond FX Neon is gluten-free, free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, fragrance and lanolin. The Neon range is independently skin-safety tested. Neon colours are special-effects pigments - use them for UV/blacklight effects and festivals, not for everyday cosmetic use. Note: Neon Blue is semi-transparent under regular light and only becomes vibrant under UV/blacklight. Browse all our other Diamond FX Neon colours.

How to use Diamond FX face paint
Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Mist the surface with a spray bottle, or load a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush directly onto the cake. Sweep your brush across all four colours at once for an instant rainbow effect. Work with a water pot and refresh the water regularly to keep colours bright and clean.
Tips for a professional result
- Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for face paint with soft synthetic bristles that leave no fluff behind. For detail work and crisp lines, use the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
- Use the right sponge. For large colour areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
- Keep your water clean. A clean water pot next to your workspace prevents neon colours from mixing and losing their vibrancy.
- Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin beforehand. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents pigment residue with intense neon shades.
How to remove Diamond FX face paint
Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens pores and lets pigment sink deeper into the skin - avoid it. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.
For a cleaner, quicker removal without scrubbing:
- Diamond FX Skin Soap - specially formulated for removing Diamond FX face paint
- Remover Towel - a damp cloth that lifts the face paint in one wipe, ideal at events and children's parties when you're painting many faces in a row

Frequently asked questions
Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?
Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear once you start using the product. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.
Is Diamond FX Neon safe for children?
Diamond FX Neon is gluten-free, free from fragrance, parabens, lanolin and animal-derived ingredients. Neon is a special-effects pigmentation that is independently skin-safety tested, but is not classified as FDA-cosmetic - use it for UV/blacklight effects rather than everyday cosmetic use. Always do a patch test 24 hours before use on sensitive skin.
How many faces can you paint with 30gr?
A 30gr cake covers around 10 to 15 full faces, depending on layer thickness and technique.
What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?
Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only become vibrant under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.
Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
Yes, that is one of its key strengths. The wax base and high pigmentation mean the top colour covers cleanly without the underlying colour showing through. Product photos were taken under professional daylight lamps without colour editing. Colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings.
Compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. Product photos are taken under professional lighting. Colours may differ slightly depending on your screen settings.
