The Diamond FX Splitcake Dragon (30gr) is a professional wax-based face paint that picks up multiple colours in a single stroke using the one stroke technique. The splitcake contains four shades: Dark Blue, Sea Green, Pastel Blue and Light Green - exactly what you need for dragons, fantasy creatures and scale designs. Because of the wax base, you can build up layers without the colours immediately bleeding or blending into each other. With this 30 gram splitcake you can paint 10 to 15 full faces.

How to use Diamond FX face paint

Activate the face paint with a small amount of clean water. Spray a fine mist onto the splitcake using a spray bottle, or load a well-squeezed sponge or damp brush. Sweep the brush across the splitcake in one smooth stroke to pick up multiple colours at once. Clean water gives you pure, bright colours - work with a water pot and refresh the water between colours.

Tips for a professional result

• Use the right brushes. The FBFX Face Paint Brushes are made specifically for water-activated face paint with soft synthetic fibres that leave no fluff. For scales and sharp detail work, reach for the FBFX Round Face Paint Brushes.
• Use the right sponge. For large areas, work with a Yellow Face Paint Sponge. Latex foam sponges are not suitable for water-activated face paint.
• Keep your water clean. A water pot with fresh water next to your workspace prevents the blue-green shades from muddying or going dull.
• Barrier layer for sensitive skin or intense colours. Apply a thin layer of Marley Skin first. This barrier makes removal easier and prevents staining from intense shades like dark blue and dark green.

How to remove Diamond FX face paint

Remove the face paint with mild, non-moisturising soap and cool to lukewarm water. Hot water opens the pores and allows pigment to sink deeper into the skin - best avoided. Gently work the soap in and rinse thoroughly. Repeat until all the colour is gone.

Why are there sometimes small cracks in the face paint?

Large temperature changes during storage or transport can cause the wax to expand and contract, leading to surface cracks. They usually disappear with use. There is no effect on quality or shelf life.

Is Diamond FX safe for children?

What is the difference between Essential, Metallic and Neon?

Essential is matte base face paint. Metallic has a glossy shimmer finish. Neon colours glow under UV/blacklight - Neon Blue, Violet and White are semi-transparent under regular light and only come to life under UV/blacklight; the other Neon colours are opaque and vivid.

Can you apply Diamond FX over other colours?
