The Woochie Latex Wolf Nose is a latex nose prosthetic from Woochie for an instant wolf character transformation. Apply it, paint it in and your horror, Halloween or SFX look is complete.
What is the Wolf Nose?
A latex prosthetic shaped like a broad, animalistic wolf nose with nostrils. The edges taper to a thin finish so they blend seamlessly into your own skin. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it and store it dry - and you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No kneading, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The wolf shape is already there. Your job is blending the edges and painting it in. That's where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Wolf Nose?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before applying any adhesive.
Apply a thin, even layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting adhesion; for a quick stick you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards towards the edges. Blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin layers give the best transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before you start painting the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic using water-activated face paint, greasepaint or alcohol-activated make-up (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match your own skin tone for a seamless realistic result, or go for a grey or brown wolf tone with dark shadow in the nostrils and along the nose ridge for extra depth.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic carefully and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
