Woochie Latex Nose Pinocchio
The Woochie Latex Nose Pinocchio is a latex nose prosthetic by Woochie for creating a Pinocchio character look. Apply it, colour it in, and the fairy-tale transformation is complete.
What is the Nose Pinocchio?
A latex prosthetic shaped like the long, pointed nose of Pinocchio. The edges taper thin so they blend smoothly into your skin. Remove it carefully, clean it and store it dry, and you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No kneading, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex you have to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and adding colour. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Nose Pinocchio?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick fix you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outward to the edges. Blend the edges with liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin coats give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before you start colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated make-up (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match your skin tone for a seamless look, or go for a woody brown shade if you want to play the literal wooden puppet. Add dark shadow along the bridge of the nose for depth and light highlights on the tip for a playful finish.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smears. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
