What is the Mouse Nose Small?
A latex prosthetic shaped like a small mouse nose, with thin finished edges that blend seamlessly into your skin. Sturdy enough for a full evening of wear, yet flexible enough to sit comfortably. Remove it carefully after use, clean it and store it dry - you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No moulding, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and colouring it in. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Mouse Nose Small?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick fix you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Then blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin layers give the smoothest transition. Dust the edges with setting powder before you start colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic using water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated makeup (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match your skin tone for a realistic mouse look, or go for grey and light brown for a more pronounced rodent character. Use a small brush for the details around the nostrils.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
