What is the Mr Feels?
A latex prosthetic in the shape of a distinctive, characterful nose. The thin, finished edges blend seamlessly into your skin, making the prosthetic look like a natural extension of your face. Remove it carefully after use, clean it, and store it dry. That way you can use it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No moulding, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex you have to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and painting it in. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Mr Feels?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your nose first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive become tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto your skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outward to the edges. Blend the edges with liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin coats give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges well with setting powder before you move on to painting the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-based face paint, grease paint, or alcohol-activated make-up (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Match your skin tone for a subtle character effect, or go pale, grey, or green for a bold fantasy look. Add dark accents in the grooves of the nose and light highlights on the tip for extra depth.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All, or Pro-clean Cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently, and rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
