What is the Demon Horns Bones Small?
A latex prosthetic in the shape of two small demon horns with a bony, rough surface texture. The edges taper to a thin finish so they blend smoothly into your skin. Remove them carefully after use, clean them and store them dry - and you can use them again and again.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No sculpting, no waiting for things to dry, no building up liquid latex layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and colouring it in. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Demon Horns Bones Small?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your forehead first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard choice for long-lasting hold; for a quicker application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto the skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Several thin coats give the smoothest transition. Dust the edges with setting powder before moving on to colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated colour (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Start with a grey or brown base, then add dark shadow into the grooves and apply light highlights to the tips of the horns for a convincing texture.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic gently and rinse the skin with lukewarm water afterwards.
