The Woochie Latex Black Demon Horns are a latex horn prosthetic from Woochie for a convincing demon or devil look. Apply them to your forehead, colour them in, and your horror, Halloween or SFX look is complete.
What are the Black Demon Horns?
A latex prosthetic in the shape of two black demon horns, designed for the forehead or top of the head. The edges are finished thin so they blend smoothly into the skin. Remove the prosthetic carefully after use, clean it and store it dry, and you can reuse it multiple times.
Why does this prosthetic work so well?
No sculpting, no waiting for drying time, no liquid latex to build up layer by layer. The shape is already there. Your work is in blending the edges and colouring. That is where you make the difference.
How do you apply the Black Demon Horns?
Hold the prosthetic dry against your forehead first to find the right position. Do this before you apply any adhesive.
Apply a thin layer of skin adhesive to both the back of the prosthetic and your skin. Pros-Aide is the standard for long-lasting hold; for a quick application you can also use spirit gum. Let the adhesive go tacky before pressing the prosthetic onto the skin.
Press the prosthetic firmly from the centre outwards to the edges. Blend the edges using liquid latex or Pros-Aide Cream. Multiple thin layers give the smoothest transition. Powder the edges with setting powder before you start colouring the prosthetic.
Painting
Colour the prosthetic with water-activated face paint, grease paint or alcohol-activated makeup (such as Encore palettes). Work in thin layers. Start with a dark grey or black as a base, deepen the grooves with shadow for texture and finish the tips with subtle lighter highlights for added depth.
Setting and removal
Set your colour work with setting powder so nothing smudges. To remove, work a Pros-Aide remover such as Mouldlife Life Wipes, Ben Nye Remove it All or Pro-clean cleansing Oil under the edges, lift the prosthetic carefully and rinse the skin afterwards with lukewarm water.
